Temp R&D Procurement Senior Contractor
Pay Range: $93.03 - $118.84/hr

Regeneron is seeking a Senior level Procurement Contractor for a short-term assignment in support of the Research and Pre-Clinical Development (R&pD) team. This role will support the three subcategories (CDMO, CRO Services, and Lab Consumables) in a variety of Procurement related tasks such as Category Strategy Development, Contracting, RFX (RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs) Sourcing Initiatives, and Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement. The Contractor will gather and assess data through benchmarking, market intelligence reports, and Voice of the Customer (VoC) interviews, and perform analytics on spend, inventory levels, utilization, and KPI measurements. Additionally, the Contractor will deliver measurable cost savings and monitor these savings against contracted terms and pricing. They will actively participate in supplier selection and relationship management, providing data-driven recommendations to management for informed decision-making. The Contractor will work collaboratively with teammates and cross-functional partners across all Regeneron campuses and departments and support ongoing supplier performance and service delivery. The role will be based at our Corporate HQ in Tarrytown, NY (4 days / week required onsite) and is not open to hybrid or remote work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of the global R&D Category strategies and to serve global and regional business needs as assigned.
- Works closely with stakeholders to manage discussions related to the R&pD Categories and aligns category priorities with Procurement management and stakeholders.
- Support negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities as assigned.
- Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
- Supports Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the R&pD Categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the category team.
- Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.
- Supports category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.
- Negotiates contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron’s priorities and business requirements.
- Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.
Job Requirements:
- The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience in procurement, including experience in Pharma/BioPharma.
- Experience successfully managing category processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories
- The candidate should demonstrate success working effectively with cross-functional teams to drive results in R&pD categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
- Demonstrated success supporting the global supply market evaluation process using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.
- Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)
- Ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge and hands on experience supporting sourcing platform technologies preferred (LabViva, Zageno, ScienceExhange, Scientist.com, others)
- Ability to use data analytics, automation and visualization tools to drive insights and communicate to stakeholders and senior leadership (PowerBI, Tableau, Power Automate)
- Demonstrate success and experience with cost models and total cost of ownership models
- Management and implementation of inventory management programs including technology solutions (RFID, QR codes, others), consignment programs, VMI solutions, single use materials, bioreagents and media etc.
