Temp Scientist - ES Cell Culture

Pay Range: $51.69 - $65.99/hr

Onsite Role in Tarrytown, NY

6 Month Contract

Regeneron is seeking a talented, creative Temp-Scientist to join VelociGene's Embryonic Stem Cell team- specifically the human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) team. You will be involved in basic research involving routine culture and expansion of iPSC lines as well as differentiation of iPSCs into cardiomyocytes using a previously established protocol. As a Temp-Scientist, a typical day might include:

Helping support the development and characterization of novel cellular models to better understand the mechanisms of cardiovascular disease.

Supporting the design and execution of cell-based assays, and/or other novel technologies to better understand the mechanisms of cardiovascular disease

Understanding of cardiovascular diseases, including functional characterization is highly desirable

Following established protocols to differentiate high quality cardiomyocytes

Analyzing and evaluating data and properly assess cell quality

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a BS/MS degree and 6+ years of relevant experience. Must have experience with iPSC cell culture and differentiation, as well as basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, Immunofluorescence, electrophysiology characterization). Experience with immunohistochemical and biochemical analyses of cell models of cardiovascular diseases strongly preferred. Experience working with human cell models of cardiovascular diseases is preferable.
