The Analytical and Biological Mass Spectrometry Group (ABMS) at Regeneron is seeking a highly motivated Scientist in support of Regeneron R&D programs. We focus on using Mass Spectrometry for the biochemical characterization of emerging novel therapeutic modalities as well as therapeutic monoclonal antibodies at all stages of development. In this role, you will develop LC-MS methods and/or other analytical strategies for elucidating and characterizing novel therapeutics (such as AAVs) and antibody attributes such as primary structures, disulfide linkages, PTMs, product and process related impurities, charge/size variants, sequence variants, etc. You will conduct analytical method qualification and develop innovative technologies to support a diverse Regeneron's R&D pipeline.
A Typical Day In This Role Looks Like:
Develop primarily LC-MS based analytical methods to support various R&D programs.
Perform LC-MS data analysis using various software and bioinformatic tools to elucidate the quality attributes of therapeutic proteins and other novel modalities.
Support R&D activities and regulatory applications and deepen our knowledge of antibody therapeutics and other emerging novel modalities.
Perform sample preparation and LC-MS-based experiments independently based on SOPs and document experiments, results and findings in electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) entries; present data at group and project meetings; write technical reports, SOPs, and regulatory filing reports, etc.
Summarize results in a concise format (graphs, figures, tables, etc.) to support presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and regulatory documents, etc.
This Role May Be For You If:
You have knowledge and hands-on experience in LC-MS based sample preparation for proteins and peptides are required. Experience in specialized LC-MS based techniques such as hydrogen-deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) and quantitative proteomics is a plus.
