Pay Range: $62.47 - $84.72/hr

Onsite Role in Tarrytown, NY

12 Month Contract

Regeneron is seeking a Temporary Sr. Scientist to join the Formulation Development Group of Regeneron Pharmaceutical Inc. at Tarrytown, NY. In this role, you will develop antibody-based biologic drug products and assess their quality and stability. As a Sr. Scientist, you will collaborate with various teams to move drug products from pre-clinical through commercial stages.

 

A Typical Day in the Role of Sr. Scientist Might Look Like:

  • Design, write, execute, and document stability studies and other experiments to support formulation development and stability testing in various phases.
  • Characterize candidate molecules using various biophysical and biochemical analytical techniques.
  • Develop drug product formulation and support process development and manufacturing of clinical drug substances and drug products.
  • Develop fit-for-purpose analytical methods to support biophysical characterization, formulation and process development, and research stability testing.
  • Collect, process, and analyze data by following the organizational standard methodologies and policies.
  • Document experiments, results and findings in electronic laboratory notebook; presents work at group and department meetings; contributes to drafting of protocols, method development reports, regulatory submission sections, and peer-reviewed articles for publication.
  • Contribute to general laboratory and equipment maintenance.

This role requires a PhD with 0-2+ years, a MS with 8-10 years, or a BS with 13+ years of relevant experience. In-depth knowledge about protein structure and function is required. Expertise in protein chemistry/biochemistry and characterization, with keen analytical and problem-solving skills, are a must. Experience with protein stability, structure, or biophysics is highly desirable. Hands-on experience and trouble-shooting proficiency with applying chromatographic methods (HPLC, UPLC, column chromatography), capillary electrophoresis and/or biophysical techniques (UV-vis, DLS, CD, FTIR, DSC, AUC, Fluorescence, Raman spectroscopy, particle analysis, etc.) for protein characterization is a plus. Experience with statistical analysis software (such as JMP) is beneficial.
