Regeneron's Analytical and Biological Mass Spectrometry group in Tarrytown, NY is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Temp Sr Associate Scientist. In this exciting role, you will work in a pioneering mass spectrometry lab to develop and optimize bioanalytical assays and other LC-MS based analytical methods to support our R&D pipelines.
A Day in the Life of a Temp Sr Associate Scientist may look like:
Performing LC-MS based assay development, assay qualification, or validation for biotherapeutics and biomarkers in biological matrices to support Regeneron pipelines.
Performing bioanalysis and bioanalytical support of research, preclinical, clinical, and biodistribution studies by quantifying therapeutics or biomarkers in biological study samples.
Applying state-of-the-art LC-MS coupled with manual or automated sample preparation (e.g., liquid handlers and other automation robots) to investigate biotherapeutics, including antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), adeno-associated virus (AAV), peptides, oligonucleotides, and other novel modalities.
Maintaining accurate and reliable records including electronic notebooks and all other pertinent documentation.
Analyzing and interpreting results, troubleshooting experiments, and presenting data in small and large group settings.

To be considered for the role, you must have:
BS degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related fields with 3-5+ years of experience; or an MS degree with 0-2+ years of experience.
Experience with LC-MS based bioanalytical assays for protein/peptide analysis in body fluids or tissues is required, and with LC-MS based characterization assays for biologics.
2+ years of hands-on experience with mass spectrometry or LC-MS experience with biologics (large molecules) is preferred, with a strong understanding of mass spectrometry techniques and their applications to large molecule analysis, as well as other analytical techniques.
Hands-on experience with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry instruments is highly preferred.
Experience with GxP laboratory environment, documentation, and regulatory compliance in the biotech/biopharmaceutical industry is a plus.
A deep understanding of analytical methods qualification/validation is a strong plus.
