Temp Senior Scientist - Infectious Diseases

Pay Range: $65.89 - $86.55/hr

Onsite Role in Tarrytown, NY

3 Month Contract 

Regeneron is seeking a motivated Senior Scientist to join our Infectious Disease group. You will be responsible for independently carrying out experiments to support the discovery of antiviral therapeutics.

As a Senior Scientist, a typical day may include the following:

Performing in vivo experiments using mice and ex vivo tissue processing and analysis by Flow cytometry, ELISA, ELIspot, qRT-PCR, plaque assays, and other (50%) in a BSL2 environment

Running cell-based virus infection assays and other in vitro assays in a BSL2 environment (25%)

Carrying out molecular experiments including PCR, cloning, nucleic acid isolation/purification, protein purification (25%)

Maintaining reliable records of results and carrying out data analysis

Presenting your work to the broader team

This role might be for you if:

You have experience with immunology techniques, molecular biology techniques, as well as cell-based in vitro assays

You have experience with animal handling and mouse in vivo techniques such as IV injections, virus challenge models, and ex vivo tissue analysis, in BSL2 environments

You enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional environment

You can work on multiple projects in parallel, independently or as part of a team

You have strong communication and time-management skills

This role requires a MS with 8+ years proven experience or a PhD in immunology and/or infectious disease. We are seeking experience with animal handling and immunological assays including multicolor flow cytometry as well as cell-based infection assays. Strong communication and time-management skills are a must-have. Experience with some of the following skills are preferred: Cloning, protein purification, microscopy.
