Temp Senior Scientist - Infectious Disease
Pay Range: $51.06 - $83.27/hr
Onsite Role in Tarrytown, NY
6 Month Contract
The Temp Senior Scientist will join the Infectious Disease group. You will be responsible for independently carrying out experiments to support the discovery of antiviral therapeutics.
As a Temp Senior Scientist, a typical day may include the following:
Running assays including ELISAs, cell-based virus infection assays, and other in vitro assays
Carrying out molecular experiments including PCR, cloning, and nucleic acid isolation/purification
Western blotting
Maintaining cell cultures
Performing in vivo experiments using mice
Maintaining records of results and carrying out data analysis
Presenting your work to the broader team
This role may be for you if:
You are able to work independently or as part of a team on multiple projects in parallel
You have strong communication and time-management skills
In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a Ph.D. and 0-2+ years of experience or a BS/MS and 8+ years of relevant experience. Must have experience with animal handling/in-vivo techniques (IV injections, blood collection methods), cell culture, cell based assays, and molecular biology techniques. Experience with viral infection assays is preferred.
